Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

If you haven’t already, the good news is you can today!

Recite this prayer of salvation below to receive the gift that keeps on giving.

“Lord Jesus, I repent for my sins and I surrender my life to you right now today. Father, wash me clean and make me white as snow. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died for my sins on the cross and rose again on the third day. I accept him into my heart and confess from my mouth that he is my Lord and Savior. I decree and declare that I shall not perish but have eternal life through salvation.” In Jesus Christ name, Amen.

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:8-9 NLT.

Are you a True Believer?

I’ve been pondering on what it means to be a True Believer of Jesus Christ— without a doubt.

For me, I’ve always had this question in the back of my mind— and in this season; our choices are a matter of life and death.

Do you know that your destiny is calling you and your purpose can no longer suffer?

As a Kingdom Citizen, suffering is a part of your responsibility for the Glory of God and his Kingdom. God has always made it very clear to me by asking, “What are you willing to give up to receive what I have for you?”  The sacrifices that we have to make is a daily form of “suffering” because something has to die in order for something greater to live. In Romans 8:18 NLT, God said, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Suffering was the epitome of what Jesus Christ did for each of us.

Knowing this truth, what will you decide?

Several days ago, I was asked by an elder from my church If I’ve ever watched the series “The Chosen.” The truth was, I hadn’t, so that evening, we sat down and began watching season one together— which addressed my beliefs head on. As someone who’s an avid bible reader— I’d find myself asking questions from the chapters I studied. Truthfully, I’ll admit that sometimes, the realizations of truth can be hard to digest, imagine or interpret. Without a visual depiction of the events that occurred the belief system can be challenged, and become a battleground for the tactics of the enemy—which majority of the time is our mind. God knew that based on the questions I’ve been asking after time spent in his presence that this was the season that “The Chosen” would benefit me the most; and it did.

What does it mean to be a True Believer?

Belief itself, based on the definition of the word is: an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. In John 3:16 NKJV, we are told that “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” The belief in Jesus Christ is not limited to the fact the he existed but it also covers the accounts of his teachings, lifestyle choices and character. That covering also extends onto the miracles, signs and wonders that he performed as he bore witness to God, himself and for all of us.

So again, I’ll ask the question— Are you a True Believer of Jesus Christ?

When we think of our lives and the circumstances we’ve found ourselves in we have to admit that sometimes it’s hard to believe God. The promises he’s made to us can pose a threat to our own belief system until we see it come to fruition. I was reminded that our minds need to renewed daily as we fix our focus on him. As human beings, our belief system from a fleshly perspective relies on the physical manifestation of the thing that we’ve been hoping and believing God for in front of us. Unfortunately, for all of us, the extent to what it is that we’ll receive is solely based on what we truly believe God for—even before we see it come to pass. This realization isn’t my opinion either. Matthew 21:22 NLT, confirms this by saying , “And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

But what happens if you never receive what you were believing God for?

Honestly, would Jesus Christ be enough for you?

Considering his sufferings, would that be worthy enough for you to honor and believe him without your doubting, complaining, rebellion and turning away?

The evidence of Jesus, that made believers out of men and women were witnessed and documented when Jesus performed miracles. Some of which include; the turning of water into wine, the feeding of the five thousand from the five loaves of bread and fish, when Lazarus was raised from the dead, and when he opened the eyes of a blind man. These are only a few of the supernatural miracles that caused their unbelief to transform. However, this newfound belief was made concrete over time as we’re shown that many of the disciples that walked with Jesus too struggled with their belief at times— but they made the choice to believe him, still.

For instance, Matthew 14, gives the account of Peter walking on water and becoming afraid, crying out for the lord to save him. Many, wondered why? Especially, because he was up close and personal with Jesus and saw living proof of his power actively at work with his own eyes. Peter, just like us, was human. Our human nature has a hard time grasping concepts outside of our normal perception. We also battle with control and limitations imposed on us through circumstances that are sometimes too big for us—but not too big for GOD. If you’re new to your walk of faith; belief in Jesus Christ could pose a challenge to your current belief system, too. This can solely depend on where you are in your life, how long you’ve been waiting or what it is you’ve been through. You’d also have to include the factors of your environment and the leaders that you’ve chose to follow behind and learn from. Despite all of these questions, feelings or circumstances; a choice has to be made.

I challenge you to die to your flesh so that you can gain the life that a True Believer of Jesus Christ was promised to inherit. God reminds us that ” If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.” Mark 8:35 NLT

This is your opportunity to “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” Matthew 3:2 NLT. Jesus died so you could live. More importantly, this worldly living isn’t eternal and it wont last forever. For when it ends, where will you go?

Your belief in Jesus Christ is a requirement for your salvation. Let today be the day that you choose to be a True Believer; faithfully and completely. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart, mind, body, soul, faith, actions and works and let all that you do reflect him with honor and glory.

My Brothers and Sisters, your life depends on it. Are we eye to eye with this truth?
